Troops of the Joint Task Force (North-East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have successfully arrested suspected Boko Haram collaborators and neutralized insurgents during coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno states.

In a press statement on Friday, the military said its forces, working alongside local vigilantes and hunters, intensified operations to disrupt terrorist supply chains and operational networks in the region. The announcement, signed by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of the JTF Headquarters, emphasized that these efforts continue to weaken Boko Haram’s activities across both states.

In Adamawa State, soldiers from Sector 4 of the 28 Task Force Brigade arrested a 28-year-old suspect, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government. Muhammed, described by the military as a “terrorist logistics supplier,” was found with an AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military equipment, and assorted foodstuffs. He is currently in custody for further investigation.

During a separate mission in Madagali Local Government, troops neutralized a suspected terrorist commander, Abdullahi Mafa, in an ambush near the Visik River line. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the deceased

Acting on further intelligence, the military also apprehended a 64-year-old suspect, Dauda Usman Gubula, alleged to have supplied drones to insurgents, which were later modified and deployed against troops. Recovered items included two aerial drones, drone accessories, and 20 solar power banks.

In Borno State, troops of Sector 2, working with local vigilantes and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), successfully repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu. During the operation, a terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralized, and logistical items were recovered.

The military stressed that these ongoing missions are part of sustained efforts to disrupt Boko Haram supply lines, restore security, and protect communities across the North-East. The High Command commended the troops for their dedication and urged them to maintain the operational tempo
