Anyone Who Blocks 2.5m Votes For Tinubu Will Get ‘AK-47 Fire’ — Edo APC Chairman

By Victor Idajili

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Jarret Tenebe, has threatened to deal with anyone who attempts to stop the party from delivering 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Tenebe made the threat during one of the campaign rallies held as Governor Monday Okpebholo toured the 18 local government areas of the state to mobilize support for President Tinubu.

In a viral video, Tenebe was heard saying anyone who stands in the way of the party’s target would receive “AK-47 fire.”

He argued that the number of votes a state delivers to the federal government could determine its development, including the creation of more local governments and states.

Tenebe said invoking the spirit of “Holy Ghost fire” against those obstructing the 2.5 million votes would be too heavy, and that invoking a “General Purpose Machine Gun” would be lighter.

“So anybody who refuses, who wants to stand in our way of not getting the 2.5 million votes we want to give to Mr President, AK-47 fire,” he said.

He added that when Governor Okpebholo promised the President that Edo would deliver 2.5 million votes, opposition members and “social media politicians” questioned where the votes would come from.

Tenebe claimed that the governor had previously silenced his critics by mobilizing 2,156,800 votes for the party during the last local government election in the state.
