NYSC postpones 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I orientation in Niger State over camp renovation

The National Youth Service Corps has postponed the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I orientation course for corps members deployed to Niger State, citing ongoing repairs at the Paiko camp.

In a statement on Saturday, NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations Caroline Embu said the delay was necessary because the Niger State Government is renovating the orientation camp after extensive damage from a recent windstorm.

“Consequently, NYSC Management is making urgent arrangements to secure an alternative venue for the Orientation Course. A new commencement date and other relevant details will be communicated to affected Prospective Corps Members in due course,” the statement read.

The scheme apologized for the disruption and asked prospective corps members and their families for patience while alternative arrangements are finalized.

NYSC said the new date and venue details will be announced once preparations are complete.
