Nigerian Army arrests notorious TikTok bandit ‘Sule Yellow’ after alleged ransom collection

The Nigerian Army has arrested a suspected bandit popularly known as Sule Yellow, who gained notoriety on TikTok for allegedly flaunting ransom proceeds and promoting band!t activities online.
According to reports, the suspect, identified by his TikTok handle @suleyellow (also reported as @suleyellow6), was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation while allegedly returning to a forest hideout after collecting ransom from the family of a kidnapped victim.
Security sources disclosed that operatives had been monitoring Sule Yellow’s online activities, where he and his associates reportedly posted videos displaying large sums of cash, firearms, and content linked to band!t operations. The videos attracted widespread criticism and concern across social media platforms.
Following his arrest, his TikTok account was reportedly disabled, while authorities intensified efforts to ident!fy and apprehend other members of his svspected criminal network.
The arrest comes amid ongoing military operations targeting banditry and kidnapping syndicates across northern Nigeria. Videos showing the svspect in military custody have since circulated widely on social media, drawing public reactions.
As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Army has not issued an official statement providing further details about the operation, including the exact location of the arrest or the suspect’s legal status.
