NAF Airstrike Destroy Terrorist Hideouts in North- East

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) airstrikes have destroyed terrorist hideouts in Ali Sheriffti, a known insurgent enclave in the southern Tumbuns of North-East Nigeria.

NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, announced this in a statement on Friday, saying the strikes were conducted on April 24.

Acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft carried out a surveillance sweep of the area and spotted several insurgents moving along concealed tracks, he said.

The targets were tracked to structures hidden beneath dense foliage, confirming attempts to avoid detection.

“Following positive identification, the NAF executed a precise strike, engaging the structures with onboard munitions,” Ejodame said.

“The operation successfully destroyed the terrorist structures, further degrading their capability and restricting their freedom of movement in the area.”

Ejodame said the strikes reflect the NAF’s continued commitment to intelligence-led, precision operations aimed at denying terrorists safe havens.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed the Air Force’s resolve to sustain the offensive.

“The Nigerian Air Force will continue to pursue and dismantle terrorist networks with unwavering precision and relentless force, ensuring no enclave remains beyond our reach,” Aneke was quoted as saying.

“Operations will continue with increased intensity to safeguard the nation and its citizens,” Ejodame added.
