Tinubu Appoints Fayose REA Chairman, Announces 26 New Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, REA.
Fayose leads a list of 26 new appointments into 10 federal government agencies and commissions announced on Monday by the Presidency.
REA gets new board
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Fayose will chair the REA board.
Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta were also appointed as members and non-executive directors of the agency.
The current REA Managing Director, Abba Abubakar Aliyu, and three executive directors previously appointed complete the board.
Major General Junaid Bindawa (rtd) was named Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.
Eight other appointments were made to the commission. They include Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas, former House of Representatives member from Lagos, as Secretary .Dr. Ogbole Ene Lilian (Benue), Oladele Olatubosun (Oyo) and Yakubu Umar Barde (Kaduna) as Commissioners .Dr. Mai Adamu Yau (Borno), Ginika Florence Tor (Enugu), Engineer Lawrence Okoh (Edo) and Bello Morenike Iyabode (Kogi) as members
Tosin Johnson Adeyanju moves from Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, NLTF, to Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC.

President Tinubu also constituted the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission with Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman. Members are
Mohammed Asmau, Mohammed Aliyu Makama, Dr. Suleiman Gidado, Louis O. Ndukwe, Amaechi Ugwele and Olaniyi Idowu Onikola.
Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, replacing Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu who was reassigned to the Petroleum Trust Development Fund, PTDF in April.

Iorja is an economist, legal scholar and academic who currently serves as Secretary of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission, BSIEC.
Onanuga said all the appointments take immediate effect.
