The Police Service Commission (PSC) has published the names of 50,000 successful candidates recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement signed by the PSC Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Kalu.
According to the commission, the nationwide exercise was carried out in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Character Commission, Ministry of Police Affairs, state career and counselling departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.
The PSC described the process as “comprehensive, inclusive, equitable and transparent.”
Candidates who sat the written exam can check their status on the official portal: npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.
The portal opened at 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Successful applicants will also get notifications through the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during registration.
The PSC said those who made the list will be required to report to their designated police training institutions on dates to be announced later for medical screening and documentation.
It warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated time will be considered to have declined the offer.
“Candidates who fail the medical examination to be conducted by the Police Medical Team on resumption will be declared unfit and will be asked to leave training,” the statement added.
Applicants are to report with:
Training call-up slip
NIN slip
BVN slip
Original and photocopies of certificates.

The PSC Chairman, retired DIG Hashimu Argungu, thanked President Bola Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 constables, saying it is part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
He urged the new recruits to see the opportunity as “a clarion call to serve the nation with dignity, integrity and unwavering commitment to a safe and secured Nigeria.”
